Support
HIMA is an Arabic-first app for community protection against explosive ordnance — unexploded bombs, landmines and suspicious objects — in the West Bank. It is for community members: to learn about hazards, report them safely, see nearby risks on a map, and access psychological first aid.
How to report a hazard
Reporting is anonymous by default and requires no account.
- Move to a safe distance first. Do not approach, touch or move the object.
- Open the HIMA app and choose "Report a hazard".
- Select the hazard type.
- Confirm the location on the map and add a place label if you can.
- Add a photo taken from a safe distance, or a short note — both are optional.
- Send the report. You stay anonymous unless you choose otherwise.
Reporting without internet
If there is no connection, your report is saved on the device and delivered automatically once a connection is available. A report is never lost when you are offline.
Frequently asked questions
Is my report anonymous?
Yes. Reports are anonymous by default. No name, phone number or email is requested, and the public hazard map cannot be used to get from a hazard back to the person who reported it.
Do I need an account?
No. You can report without creating any account. A full account is entirely optional.
What happens to my report?
It is stored in a secured database, and the hazard may appear on the public map with no link to you. The partners who receive reports are listed below.
